Well laid out and extremely pleasant room with a four poster bed and a bath, as for instance, and smoke detectors too for guests' safety. So many choices for breakfast: breads, cereal, pastries, fruit and cheese.

Comfortable and clean state room with a luxurious four-poster bed and matching hotel robes. Delicious breakfast with helpful service and plenty of free parking. Highly recommend.

Unique and relaxing property. Competent employees on the Morning shift at Breakfast. Plenty of food at the full English breakfast. Stunning location close enough to bars, an original castle, and the black knight restaurant. Very cosy in a really beautiful area.

Rooms were bright and fabulous and provided with storage space, a larger than expected bathroom, the bath. The breakfast was delicious, the best I had in Chester-le-Street. The location was unbeatable in the castle rather than the courtyard and the staff here was efficient.

We had a fantastic end to our trip at Lumley Castle Hotel. The staff were incredibly enthusiastic and made us feel very welcome. Our room was spacious and had a lovely view of the castle's inner garden. Checking in and checking out was a breeze, and it was great to have parking available on site. The hotel's secluded location provided a peaceful and enjoyable base for exploring Chester-le-Street. The area itself was absolutely beautiful. We were also impressed with the outstanding restaurant and the cozy library bar.

Had an amazing Easter break at a castle hotel. The communal areas were atmospheric and the bar and restaurant were fabulous. The staff were friendly and helpful. Perfect location for exploring the surrounding area. Loved the recent refurbishment and stylish ambiance.
Our room was a bit small and dark, and the furnishings were a bit tired. The shower room extractor fan wasn't working.
